An Unforgettable Woman

Mark 14:1-11

1.  What is your most treasured gift that you have received? Can you share what made the gift so memorable?

2.  What did the woman in the Gospel of Mark do to warrant the special memory and status that she possess in the Bible? Why do you think that it is not merely the price of the perfume that  she poured on Jesus? What gift can you offer to Jesus that is from your heart?

3.  What does Jesus mean when He said “she has done what she could”? What is the standard to measure if you have done your best? (e.g. in school; on your job; in your family;)

4.   If you were to give your best to God, what are some changes you are to make in life?

5.  How do we express our faith in all of Jesus' teaching? What are some teachings of Jesus that you may not have liked and therefore neglected?

6.  Why does Mark not explain why Judas betrayed Jesus? What are some of the temptations that you face in your daily lives that may lead you to sacrifice Jesus for personal gains? How can you be vigilant to guard those temptations?
